Uggly weather
It is practically May already (terrifying enough in itself I know). On Saturday I gleefully texted Far-Flung Corner and Seasonally-Affected Corner that I was outside, without a coat, and WARM. The thrill of it!
Naturally I should have known better: its been pissing down ever since and I’m back to wearing my massive cardi and ugg boots in the stoodio. I’m eyeing up my mittens…
I love my Uggs – they may be truly ugly but they sure are snuggly! Just as long as no-one expects me to walk too far in them as it is all but impossible not to scuff your feet and, for reasons I can’t pretend to understand, the sound of scuffing feet on a pavement makes me inarticulate with rage.
UPDATE – I just realised that my ceiling is leaking. Again. Did I mention that its been pissing down?
etsy love – pretty prints
I have a bit of a thing about Etsy. I am particularly fond of the prints sold by numerous brilliant artists on there (a spooky number of whom seem to be based in or around Portland, Oregon. Who knew it was such a hotbed of creativity?!) I’ve got my own small collection, and ever growing Favourites list, but I think I might have to ration myself when browsing through the Naughty Secretary Club list of faves, and particularly her links to the Hot 100. Either that or we’re going to need a considerably bigger flat (having moved from a maisonette with LOTS of walls thanks to all the stairs I already have piles of pictures waiting to be rotated into the love again. Technically I am banned from buying any more)…
